Entry 5 Instructional Courseware Design
Assalaamualaikum and welcome back to my blog!
In this entry, i am going to share about a new topic that is different from the previous topic which is Instructional Courseware Design (ICD).
Basically, Instructional Courseware Design is creating instructional experiences which make the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient, effective and appealing. In ICD, learning outcomes and theories are essential in ICD.
therefore, we need to have learning outcomes and we also need to remember theories. Before we create an ICD, we need to identify the syllabus in order to make the lesson suitable for school students. Besides, we also need to conduct a survey, free writing and public record about the students or our targeted learners. After we finish the basic step, then only we can create questions and program for the learners.
Furthermore, we need to identify our learner and the learner's need in order to make the questions and program that we created able to help the students to improve their knowledge and efficiency in learning. Thus, we also need to decide what kinds of content that we want to put in the program because different students need different lesson and exercise.
In order to attract the students to so exercise in the program, we need to create informative content and the content should be more interesting than the textbook. For example, we need to insert a animations, sound effects and more.

Instructional Courseware Design (ICD)
Basically, Instructional Courseware Design is creating instructional experiences which make the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient, effective and appealing. In ICD, learning outcomes and theories are essential in ICD.
therefore, we need to have learning outcomes and we also need to remember theories. Before we create an ICD, we need to identify the syllabus in order to make the lesson suitable for school students. Besides, we also need to conduct a survey, free writing and public record about the students or our targeted learners. Furthermore, we need to identify our learner and the learner's need in order to make the questions and program that we created able to help the students to improve their knowledge and efficiency in learning. Thus, we also need to decide what kinds of content that we want to put in the program because different students need different lesson and exercise.
Learning Outcomes
Learning outcomes is basically what should the learners achieve at the end of the learning experience. It also gives an aim to the learning experience. But how do we access the students? It is based on the how the students answer the questions in the exercise. Therefore, a specific measurable learning objective is very important. for example, "at the end of this lesson, students will be able to answer 3 out of 5 questions correctly. "In order to attract the students to so exercise in the program, we need to create informative content and the content should be more interesting than the textbook. For example, we need to insert a animations, sound effects and more.
ADDIE MODEL
From what i've learnt in class, Addie model is one of the model in ICD. It is a framework for the development of instructional coursework. There are five elements of ADDIE model which are Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and evaluation. each of these elements is actually a reference to a good Instructional Courseware Design (ICD).
In conclusion, ICD is not an easy program to do. In order to create a good and suitable program for the learners, ADDIE model would be one of the good models as a reference.
